Penthouse Salon, a black-owned hair salon, here are the qualifications and attributes we are looking for:

1. Cosmetology Education + License

2. Hair Styling Expertise: Extensive experience and proficiency in various hair styling techniques commonly used in black hair care, such as knotless braids, natural styling, sew ins, wig installs, cornrows, twists, and other protective styles. The ability to create neat and well-executed hairstyles is essential.

3. Open Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is crucial to meet the scheduling needs of clients and the salon.

4. Comfortable with Technology: Proficiency or willingness to learn and utilize technology platforms such as Acuity Scheduling, Instagram, and Canva is a plus. Familiarity with these tools can contribute to efficient appointment management, social media marketing, and creating visually appealing content for the salon.

5. Commitment to Training and Continued Education: A dedication to ongoing learning and professional development is highly valued. Penthouse Salon emphasizes that they will provide training and continued education opportunities to their staff, so a willingness to grow and improve your skills is important.
